Wednesday 9th August

Tealou arrived back at her home at 10.30 Tuesday. She still has a lot of recovery to go but it is good to have her back where she belongs, with her family. I'm sure she will be back to her old self real soon.

Thursday 3rd August

Not quite there yet. Tealou is still has two IV's going and is unable to eat anything.

Tealou is understandably very frustrated and is longing to leave the hospital as soon as possible. That is hopefully going to be around Tuesday next week. Unfortunately that means that she will miss seeing Ben Elton live on Sunday. Tealou has been a life long fan of Ben Elton and has wished for years to have the opportunity to see him live on stage.

Thankyou for your continued support.

Sunday 30th July

Not much new to report today. It was great to see Tealou pop out and say hello yesterday. She says that she is a bit to tired to say hello today but ya never know when she will feel the pinch and dial up.

Right now we are just waiting to see if that 'leak' in her stomach heals up. Once that heals the rest of her body should follow the stomachs example and heal too.

As you can see, Tealou is in high spirits and hopes to be out of hospital by this time next week.

Thanks to everybody for your support, it's almost hard to believe that only a week ago I was forced into accepting that there was a chance I would never see Tealou at home again.

Saturday 29th July

I will hold off on doing a regular update today as I believe that Téa will do one herself from hospital later.

Friday 28th July

Tealou is talking like herself again. You could just about knock her Doctor over with a feather he was that surprised by her progress. This week she has gone from being close to death to almost normal again. Tuesday I was told that she could be in hospital for 6 weeks now she could be out as early as mid next week.

Tealou has trouble knowing how long its been since things have happened but that is mostly due to the fact that she lost 6 days. For example, things that happened yesterday she thinks happened a few days ago.

Tealou is over the Sepsis and her temperature is back to normal.

A scan today showed that there is still a 'leak' in her stomach. Doctors believe that no further surgery will be required but that depends on how she goes this weekend. I'm sure that at the rate she is going she will heal that 'leak' by herself in no time. Drains are still in just in case.

Tealou saw her baby boy Jules today and will see Mina tomorrow.

Tealou is very positive and believes that she will be out of hospital as soon as she possibly can. Tealou thanks all her friends for their continued support and plans to get a laptop set up in the hospital soon so she can talk to everyone.

Thursday 27th July

Despite Tealou being in a fair amount of pain and not having a complete grasp of time, Tealou is finally fully awake and able to communicate. Her lungs are looking good so there is no real chance of her having to go back onto the breathing machine.

Tealou is very overwhelmed by what has happened over the last two weeks as you would expect. She is processing it in her own way. While she has only been awake for a day and a half and alert for a third of that she doesn't hold back when speaking her mind.

Tealou is still fighting Sepsis and is being filled with antibiotics to try and reverse that. She also still has drains clearing the area around the 'leak'.

After sweating about what her reaction would be, I told Tealou about this blog to update her friends on her condition. Fortunately for me she thought it was a sweet and loving thing to do. She thanks all her friends for the thoughts and prayers, even she didn't think this blog would be so popular with 352 different people checking in on Tealou. I also told her about her mention in the comments section of 'The Spin Starts Here' to which she replied, "Good, now I should get a mention in 'The Age'".

Thankyou for your continued support. The fight isn't any easier yet but the road does look straighter.

Wednesday 26th July

Well only a few short days ago Tealou could have gone either way. Today she spoke for the first time in six days.

Tealou is still very sedated and isn't up to being very coherent but she did speak and seems to understand most of what was being said to her. While the tube is out there is still a chance that it could go back in if problems occur. At her level of sedation, it is hard to know if she understands that she has been unconscious for six days or not.

Tealou is still fighting Sepsis and is being filled with antibiotics to try and reverse that.

X rays showed that her lungs are recovering quite well.

It is hoped that she will be well enough to return to a normal ward tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't until the day after.

Thankyou for your continued support and well wishes. Hopefully in a day or two I will be able to tell her that your positive thoughts helped her come back from the edge.
